The following three pictures show various views of this unique summer destination airport, with its close proximity to a state park, two beaches (Long Island Sound & Atlantic Ocean), along with the popular fishing/tourist village of Montauk itself, which is also home to a Coast Guard Station:

And last but not least as we fly back over New Jersey, a layer of clouds had formed near Sandy Hook and the Raritan Bay area at about 6,000 feet. We were already flying at 7,500 feet, so this provided a nice photo opportunity:

Well, another spectacular flight with Dad and I, this time with our motorized Dahon folding bikes in the back of the plane, providing us with a few hours of leisurely transportation around Montauk Point. Stay tuned for more "Highlights" in the near future....
