Hi everyone and welcome to my biggest winter season post with a whopping (51) pictures for your viewing pleasure. All photos were shot within the state of New Jersey, with the exception of a small number in Staten Island, New York.
We begin with some affluent homes in western Morris County, continue over some impressive properties around the Bedminster/Bernardsville area, move towards urban areas as we fly east along I-287, overfly the enormous Driscoll bridge (think Garden State Parkway), witness many derelict and half sunken barge hulls in the murky Kill Van Kull adjacent to Staten Island, fly south over a smoky pine forest fire, enjoy an all encompassing view of Six Flags Great Adventure and the surrounding area, change course to northwest and complete the days flight with some views of a solar field and impressive properties in western Hunterdon County.
I hope you enjoy this smorgasbord of visual delights !!!

With 360 degree views, this sprawling home sits high on a hill near Califon:

Another impressive dwelling east of Califon:

These next (3) photos showcase two delightful and meticulously manicured properties
in the vacinity of Oldwick/Bedminster:

Two more impressive properties near Gladstone:

Casino St. Charles Paddlewheel Boat docked on the shore of the Raritan river
near the Driscoll bridge in Perth Amboy:

The Manhattan skyline with the new Freedom Tower (still under construction) shown
towering over its neighboring buildings, looking northeast across and from Staten Island:

A church/cathedral on the north shore of the Raritan bay in Staten Island:

The Outerbridge Crossing (Route 440) over the Arthur Kill adjacent to Perth Amboy,
looking southwest at the Driscoll bridge:

Upper class living along the sandy shores of the picturesque Arthur Kill in Staten Island,
each home featuring waterfront views and all - NOT !!!

When the tide comes in again, I'm assuming you would never realize there are derelict barges rotting away adjacent to a beautiful townhouse complex in Staten Island:

A sprawling mobile home complex adjacent to the Jamesburg County Park in Spotswood:

Can you see a pattern here with businesses adding solar farms atop their buildings?
This one is in Robbinsville, along the New Jersey Turnpike:

I have no idea what this densely packed array is supposed to be, but it's located
adjacent to many greenhouses near Pittstown:

And last but not least, my favorite home and property of the flight. A nice sized home complete with a solarium and a massive wooden deck overlooking two small ponds (not shown) with a built-in swimming pool. Adjacent to the home is a horseshoe pit and recreation area. And look at that garage. This person's pride and joy is located near Pittstown:

There's really so much to see in the Garden State and yet we are the ridicule of many due to fact that we are associated with the ugly, smoggy, smelly area that surrounds Newark International airport, which incidentally is the first area of New Jersey that visitors see.
It's really a shame, too, because as you can see from this post, as well as my previous ones, New Jersey is really a beautiful place to live, with so many areas to enjoy and all within a few hours drive. From the mountains, to rolling farms, to big cities, a popular shore with white, sandy beaches, to a major amusement park, to the massive pine barrens of the south, New Jersey has it all. I hope you have enjoyed this "view from above" of the Garden State...
See you after the next flight !!!
