Today's photo flight is a first after a 15 month hiatus upon the
passing of my father on September 24, 2016 due to losing
the battle with cancer. This loss was devastating to me after
sharing our love of flying together for most of my life,
first with me and my cousin in the backseat of his and his
brother's 1946 Fairchild F-24R airplane and then, for the
past twenty years, with him as co-pilot in
my own Cessna Skyhawk.
Each opportunity to fly was enjoyed to the fullest
with long flights (weather permitting) and numerous
photographs to capture some astounding views.
I am happy to share with you a selection of photos
from this flight over central New Jersey
and The Jersey Shore.
We were the best of friends and talked aviation
continuously both in the cockpit as well as whenever
the opportunity arose. I so very much miss talking with
him on a daily basis about any and everything, including
aviation and the like. He will be, and for the past year,
has been sorely missed !!!
* To You Dad, I dedicate this Post *
